Getting started

Installed in under a minute.

  1. Add the extension

    Install markable from the Chrome Web Store or Edge Add-ons and pin it to the toolbar via the puzzle icon.

  2. Choose a project

    On the page you want to review, click the markable icon, create a project and choose "Comment". The quick guide asks for your name once.

  3. Get started

    Hold Shift, click an element, write your comment and save with Ctrl/⌘+Enter.

Common questions and fixes

Markers only appear when their element is visible. Collapsed accordions, inactive tabs or slides outside the viewport have no marker — the markable bar shows how many comments are currently hidden. Open the area in question or jump straight to the spot from the overview with "Show on page".

The page has changed since the comment was written. Dashed means markable found the element only by text or position — please check. "Not found" means the element no longer exists in that form; the comment is kept at its saved position. Tip for developers: a data-gomarkable attribute on sections makes anchors especially stable.

Click the markable icon once and turn on the mode you want again. markable then takes over the tab with the new version — no need to reload the page.

Click "Share" in the markable bar, sign in and unlock the project. Then invite up to 10 guests by email; invitations are valid for 30 days. Invitees need the extension and a free account.

Every project has exactly one owner — the person who created it. The owner manages members, sends invitations and deletes the project or comments. Members comment, reply and resolve.

With Google, Microsoft or Apple — or by email: you receive a six-digit code that is valid for ten minutes.

Both are fixed once created so that comments stay clearly attributed. Write to us at support@gomarkable.app and we will change it for you.

A comment can be up to 500 characters long. Each user can write up to 20,000 comments in shared projects — more than even a very large relaunch needs.

Write to us at support@gomarkable.app with your account email address and the receipt. After a refund, the unlock is withdrawn automatically.
